3-46 GRIT CrossFit ETIQUETTE>> Here at 3-46 GRIT CrossFit the safety for our athletes, family members & coaches is our number one priority. Without safety we have chaos! As a way to help keep everyone safe we have established a few rules & also created an easy to follow etiquette system to ensure that every athlete has a fun and safe CrossFit experience:

  • Be on time - It's important to know when each WOD or class starts so we are all present for the explanation, mobility, skill, & modification explanation.
  • Check your ego at the door - Many of us have lifted weights in the past but what we need to remember is that on the flip side, many of us have not. This Box is for everyone: novice & experienced athlete alike so we need to be respectful of this fact.
  • PLEASE let us know if you are injured - It'll help our athletes live to WOD another day.
  • Have a good attitude - Let's face it... we are all here for a butt-kicking good time! CrossFit is intimidating enough. Let's not make it more so by being unfriendly.
  • Introduce yourself to the new athlete in the box - *see "Have a good attitude" or see burpees!
  • Cheer on your fellow athletes - Accomplishments are to be celebrated. Acknowledge them!
  • Don’t interrupt the coaches or set up your bars, weights, or stations until instructed to do so - 3-46 GRIT CrossFit is loud enough so it's important to listen while the coach of the WOD is talking. Our safety could depend on it.
  • Chalk stays in or over the buckets - Even though we use it all the time, remember, so does everyone else.
  • Bars are never to be dropped w/out weight - We would like you to be able to control your bar through the entire lift unless total failure occurs. Let's all try our hardest to get the most out of our equipment.
  • Clean up after yourself - Weights, bars, balls, bands, liquids, kids, etc. (left out weights constitutes a 10 burpee penalty)
  • Wait until everyone has finished the workout before putting equipment away - Especially if we have more athletes then equipment.
  • Put equipment back where you got it - If you aren't sure it's better to ask then to ignore.
  • Don’t cheat your reps! How you perform in here is how you perform out there! - Honesty is one of the virtues that make us good people.
  • Represent us all well - Don't forget that while out in the real world bragging about your accomplishments, you are the representatives of 3-46 GRIT CrossFit! Be kind.
  • Use the Facebook page or whatever site to post your WOD's - Bragging rights, personal records, friendly competition, whatever the reason may be let us praise YOU, our athletes!
  • Always use full range of motion (lighter and lower is better than heavier and higher) - Max or heavy weight is never ok without first absolute knowledge of motion and good form... EVER!
  • Children need to be supervised AT ALL times - Our children are our future so let's not forget that while we are lifting.

Please remember these rules and etiquette for the safety and well being of all of us here at 3-46 GRIT CrossFit!!!
